Yeah, I know: you were expecting me to pick The Sword. And yes, "Warp Riders" is really really good. But "Meridional" is really really really good. At the risk of hyperbole, it's an aggressive, subtle, demented roller coaster ride of an album: it keeps you off-balance the entire time, and as soon as you shake the surprise off your face, you want to go through it again. And so you should.
We are down to the last three days of competition! Tomorrow, Bison B.C. versus Iron Maiden. Friday, Dark Tranquility versus Norma Jean. And Monday, the top metal of 2010 (says me).
