Today's contest was a tough one. Both The Acacia Strain and Bison B.C. put out exceptional albums in the past year. TAS certainly wins in terms of heaviness; "Wormwood" is pure brutality. That said, "Dark Ages" is so endearing and catchy. Put it to you this way: I love spicy food... but I once went to a restaurant that specialized in having the spiciest food around. They weren't kiddin', but good lord that was tough to stomach. I'll keep listening to "Wormwood," but in the final analysis Bison B.C. put out an album that was generally better. So they go on to the Semifinals!
We're almost into our final week of this year's Arsies. On Monday, Dark Tranquility goes up against Exodus.
