Theres's a lot to commend Nevermore's newest album, "The Obsidian Conspiracy." Fast, frenetic musicianship... from-the-gut singing... a dark soaring vision. If you're a fan of last year's Animals As Leaders solo album, you'll probably be all over this album. But you know what? None of that really matters, because the Nachtmystium is at best a weak Killing Joke ripoff, and at worst a total piece of shit. So, Nevermore wins!
Tomorrow, Norma Jean randomly challenges the first of two albums by The Ocean.
