Today's bout was remarkably easy to decide. Before I say anything else, I have to reiterate that I love Overkill. I probably always will. And when you get down to it, Overkill's main strength is that they keep putting out new versions of the same metal. But that's also their main weakness. Nevermind the fact that "Warp Riders" is just a fun album, start to finish, and a tough act for anyone to follow. At the end of the day, you generally don't give awards to remakes, and so this is where Overkill's time runs out for this year. The Sword takes the win easily, and thus ends our Round of 16!
Tomorrow, we end the week by starting our Quarterfinals, and oh man, these are going to be tricky challenges from here on out. Anyway, check back tomorrow for The Acacia Strain versus Bison B.C..
