Friends, Iron Maiden continues to charm the pants off of the judges with 2010's "The Final Frontier." Uncomplicated, earnest, plucky... I never thought I'd use these adjectives to describe a band that's almost as old as I am, by there it is. Nevermore put up a valiant fight, yes they did, but in many ways they offered the opposite of Maiden's album with their intricate but theatrical "Obsidian Conspiracy." In the final analysis, Maiden came out on top today, and will go on to face High on Fire next week.
